In a world where kindness and compassion often take a backseat to personal interests, it’s refreshing to come across individuals who embody the true spirit of selflessness. Chief Mrs Maryann Philip-Shaibu is one such exemplary figure, whose tireless efforts to uplift women have left an indelible mark on the hearts of many.
Chief Comrade Mrs Maryann Philip-Shaibu’s selfless act of empowering women from Edo North has left an indelible mark on the hearts of many. Yesterday’s event, where she donated grounding machines, deep freezers, cash prizes, and bags of rice as Christmas packages to over 300 households, is another fulfillment to her determination to uplifting women in Edo State.
As I reflect on her initiative, I am filled with a sense of pride and admiration for her tireless efforts to breach the gap and alleviate poverty. Her annual event has given hope to the helpless and to many women, and the contagious smile on their faces is a joy to behold.
I must confess that just two days ago, I was pondering whether to remind her to stay committed to her vision, despite the present political circumstances. But I was confident that she would never fail her people, for a lion will never feed on grasses.
Seeing that happened yesterday, I couldn’t help but reach out to my colleagues in Jattu to share the joy. To Her Excellency, Chief Comrade Mrs Maryann Philip-Shaibu, we are forever grateful for your motherly love and selfless service. We pray that God continues to bless you with the resources to keep empowering women and transforming lives.
