The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has expressed deep shock and sadness over the death of retired Deputy Inspector-General of Police (DIG) Moses Ambakina Jitoboh. The former aide-de-camp (ADC) to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan passed away in the early hours of Friday, December 27, 2024, after a brief illness.

In a statement issued over the weekend, signed by the Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO), ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, IGP Egbetokun extended his heartfelt condolences to the family of the late DIG, who had served as the Deputy Inspector-General of Police in charge of the Department of Information & Communications Technology (ICT) at the Force Headquarters before retiring in 2023.

In addition to mourning Jitoboh’s passing, IGP Egbetokun also expressed sympathy for the family of retired Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG) Pastor Bola Longe, who passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2024. Retired AIG Longe had served as the Commissioner of Police (CP) in Nasarawa State, as well as the Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of Federal Operations at the Force Headquarters before his retirement in 2021.

He further extended his sincere condolences on behalf of the entire police force to the families, friends, and colleagues of both late DIG Moses Jitoboh and AIG (Rtd.) Bola Longe, offering prayers for comfort during this difficult time and wishing that their souls rest in peace.
