The Ondo State Government has announced the passing of its Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Hon. Temitayo Oluwatuyi. The tragic news was confirmed in a statement by the state’s Commissioner for Information, Wale Akinlosotu, on Saturday, January 4, 2025.
Hon. Oluwatuyi succumbed to injuries sustained in a road accident that occurred on December 15, 2024, along the Ife-Ibadan Road. Despite receiving medical care following the accident, he passed away three weeks later.
A Life of Service
In the statement, Akinlosotu described the late SSG as a dedicated public servant who made immense contributions to the development of Ondo State.
“Hon. Temitayo Oluwatuyi was a committed politician and administrator whose unwavering dedication to administrative coordination, policy advisory, and implementation played a significant role in shaping the progress of Ondo State,” Akinlosotu said.

The Ondo State Government extended its heartfelt condolences to the Oluwatuyi family, as well as to the late politician’s friends and associates.
“The Government of Ondo State sends its deepest sympathies to the Oluwatuyi family of Akure during this difficult time. Hon. Oluwatuyi’s legacy of selfless service will forever remain in the hearts of the people he served,” Akinlosotu added.
